Our Outpatient Treatment Center
We are located on Park Avenue in West Springfield, MA. We are a short drive from Springfield, MA and our building is directly next to a PVTA bus stop.
In West Springfield, MA, we offer two outpatient programs:
- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): In PHP, our clients attend a full day of programming, 5 days a week. The PHP day program is designed for individuals who need structure but may not be able to commit to residential treatment. After attending PHP programming, clients return to their homes for the night.
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): IOP is the next level of care for individuals who may not need the structure of the full-day PHP program. Compass Recovery West’s IOP groups are offered at convenient hours and times so that our clients can attend to family or work obligations. We offer morning and evening IOP groups. Our evening IOP program is ideal for individuals who work during the weekdays.
Whether a client participates in IOP or PHP, our dedicated counselors and clinicians utilize evidence-based approaches for the physical, emotional and mental aspects of addiction. We recognize the complexity of substance use disorder and have tailored our curriculum to meet the right combination of therapies for successful, long-term recovery. Our programming includes:
- Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT): CBT helps our clients to focus on identifying and transforming negative self-image and thought patterns that may contribute to substance abuse.
- Dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT): DBT is a useful form of CBT which empowers individuals to develop healthy coping mechanisms to manage stress and triggers and regulate emotions.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI): This therapy helps individuals to resolve ambivalence and insecurities and gain practical insights.
In addition to these effective therapeutic techniques, we integrate holistic practices like yoga, meditation and mindfulness, art and music therapy. At Compass Recovery West, we strongly believe in the power of 12-step fellowships to help clients find a long-term recovery community. Our clients reconnect with family and friends and rediscover activities that provide them with a sense of meaning and purpose. Our comprehensive approach is thoughtfully designed to support individuals through their journey to lasting recovery.
