Our Outpatient Treatment Center
At Compass Recovery West, we provide licensed outpatient addiction treatment through the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS). Located in West Springfield, MA, our center offers a comprehensive Day Treatment Program designed for individuals who need structured support in early recovery but may not require—or be able to access—inpatient care.
Our Day Treatment Program offers flexible scheduling with morning and evening options to help clients maintain responsibilities at work, home, or school while still receiving the care and attention they need. Clients can attend structured programming at a minimum of 3 hours per day, multiple days per week, depending on their individual needs.
We understand that addiction impacts every part of a person—physically, mentally, and emotionally. That’s why our clinical team uses evidence-based therapies tailored to each individual’s recovery journey. Some of our primary therapeutic approaches include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helps clients recognize and shift harmful thought patterns that contribute to substance use.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Supports emotional regulation and teaches healthy coping mechanisms to manage triggers and stress.
- Motivational Interviewing (MI): Encourages self-reflection and strengthens internal motivation for change by working through ambivalence with empathy and collaboration.
In addition to traditional therapies, Compass Recovery West incorporates holistic practices such as trauma-informed yoga, meditation, reiki, and mindfulness techniques—designed to reconnect clients with their bodies, calm the nervous system, and promote long-term wellness.
We are also proud to integrate 12-Step principles into our treatment model for those seeking a spiritual foundation in recovery. Our goal is to help individuals build a life rooted in meaning, balance, and connection—one that supports sustained sobriety and personal growth.
